Swedish Hospital – Neurological Institute

Swedish Medical Center strategic initiative was to develop their Neurological Institute on the Cherry Hill Campus, and they partnered with a local real estate developer to help leverage some of the costs and benefits of them being a medical office building owner on the campus.

Our team was brought in by Swedish to take control of the project in the early Schematic Design phase, re-define the site constraints, help position Swedish for a three phase project delivery, implement a competitive procurement strategy, and deliver the project with little disruptions to existing operations.

Our team led the client and the project team to settle out the true scope of the project; set an aggressive schedule to meet the public deadlines; reconfirm and refine the budget; build a cost effective and efficient team; and finally drive the project through the phased occupations.

After some hurdles to get the funding procured and scope redefined to fit within the funding capacity, the project was delivered in the three phases, and the Neurological Institute, and associated garage, and main entry plaza are a great success for Swedish both financially, but also from a public perception and relationship with the local developer partner.
